Hello,
I'm researching one of my husband's three Henderson lines. Their
migration was

1840 Dist. 722, DeKalb Co., GA
1850 Hatchet Crk Dist., Coosa Co., AL
1860 Rockford, Coosa Co., AL
1867 Coosa Co., AL
1870 McCord's Beat, Coosa Co., AL
1873 Wilsonville, Shelby Co., AL
1876 Harpersville, Shelby Co., AL
1879 Summit, Blount Co., AL
1879 Baileyton, Cullman Co., AL

I am trying to locate a burial location for one of Pleasant Henderson's
twin daughters, Leanah Henderson. She married James H. Allbritten,
7-13-1879 in Cullman Co., AL. They appear on the 1880 Blount Co., AL
census with James' son, William Robert, from a previous marriage.

James' mother Nancy (& I assume her husband James L.) are buried Harmony
Bapt. Cem. near the Walker / Blount Co. line. If James H. & Leanah are
there, no markers have been located.

I have copies of letters written from Pleasant Henderson to his
brother-in-law Richard B. Jett in Fulton Co., GA. The last letter dated
12-14-1879 lists his children & who they married. Here is the portion
I'm trying to verify:

"We are living as we begun in the world without any children about us
nearer than 1 mile. Carline (Martha Caroline, Mrs. John T. Strange) is
the nearest, Susan (Mrs. Jasper Newton Gill) 2 1/2, Thompsy (Lavena
Thompson, Mrs. Eliga Miller) 1 1/2 miles off. Leanah 50 miles off.
Mariade a man named James Allbritan. Has a good plantation 50 miles down
on Mulberry River above where it empties into Big Black Warrior."

Pleasant Henderson was living in Baileyton at the time this letter was
written. Can anyone give me an approximate location this spot where the
Mulberry River above where it empties into the Big Black Warrior, 50
miles from Baileyton. Which county should I be looking in? Walker,
Blount, Cullman, Jefferson?

Thank you for listening to my roundabout question. Any help directed my
way would be appreciated.
