Does anyone have a Sarah WOODS or Sarah MATTISON WOODS among their family
data?
My g-g-grandfather, Andrew Milligan ASTON, wrote the following obit
[transcribed as written] for Sarah WOODS:
Sarah Woods* Departed this life April the 19th 1854 and hir funeral was

Andrew Milligan ASTON (son of Robert Young ASTON and Jane UNK) was married
to Manerva Jane MORTON, daughter of John MORTON and Isabella UNK. John and
Isabella's eldest son is Mattison MORTON, b. 1828 AL.
Sarah WOODS was living in Andrew and Manerva ASTON's household at the time
of her death. I'm trying to figure out her connection to the family as well
as discover Isabella MORTON's maiden name.
These families were in Abbeville Co. SC before moving to AL. The MORTONs
are enumerated in Fayette and Lamar counties. My ASTONs were in Marion Co.
AL.
An leads appreciated.
