I have a John Allen, born about 1808 in Delaware, based on info in the 1850
Fayette County, Ohio census. I have been unable to find any info on his
parents or siblings, or how he got to Ohio from Delaware. A family story
says that his family originally came from New York/New Jersey area, came to
Delaware for a while, and then came to Ohio about 1810-1820 by way of
Pennsylvania, traveling with several related families. Some settled in the
area east of Washington Court House, some south east of Washington Court
House, and some west of it. I have found at least three different families
in that area. I have at times thought that they were all related, but at
other times I wonder if they are. I have never been able to connect my John
Allen to any of the families there.

Do you have any info that may indicate that my John maybe connects to your
Ananias?
