I would love to correspond with you about your Ananias Allen. I believe he may be the same Ananias Allen that is my ancestor. I have sold my home and am building another, my Allen files are packed away but will try to get at them so we can compare notes. I would be happy to share anything I have with you. After being on this list for so long, this is my first time to find someone I think may be connected to my line. I can be reached privately at .

David b. 7 Mar 1787 Sussex m. Nancy Squire d. probbaly Cedar Co. Ia. were
last found in 1860 at age 73.
Ananias's family is found in Beaver Co. Pa. before comming to Fayette Co.
around 1810. Just when some of them started west, I can't say. David's line
went in late 1839 or early 1840, Beinging in Cedar & Muscatine Co.s in time
for the census. There were quite a few, where brother, sons, nephews, I
don't know.

History has it that 3 different Allen family came to Fayette Co. 1 was a
young runaway, Adam. Another was a Dr. O.A.Allen,druggest, s/o John P. &
Jane Adams Allen of N.J. ( They coud be from the same family) & Ananias with
