Dear John: I too am descended from the Van Buskirk Family. My grandfather
was Charles Henry and his father Charles Andrew and his father Lawrence
Andrew all of New York City. By coincidence, my grandmother on my father's
side was an Allen, but I have never been able to find out any information
about them. All I know is that her father's name was Arthur and her mother's
first name was Catherine. Her full name was Emily Jane Allen and I think
she was born in Staten Island NY. She married my grandfather, Alexander
Scott in Brooklyn about 1890. so if any of this may help or fill in some
pieces, that is about all I know. thanks. FLO in Florida
