Hi Sue, I am also researching the surnames of PATERSON, DUNCAN, BROWN,
mostly they are from Montrose. I have an Agnes Brown marrying a James
Paterson, in the mid 1750's. Also I have an Elizabeth Duncan Marrying
William Dorward circ 1816 in Montrose, if you think there is a connection
love to hear from you.
