i noticed your post and thought i would add the following:

i have a George A. Anderson b. 25 Sep 1837 Glenisla to Alexander Anderson and Catherine McKenzie. Would he fit in anywhere?

i also have a Norrie connection...David Norrie b. 23 Mar 1877 Arbirlot, married to Catherine Fyfe b. 11 Dec 1876 Forfar, daughter of George Fyfe and Jessie Strachan Craik.
