Sunnyside Royal Hospital is a large mental hospital in Hillside, which is
about a mile north of the town of Montrose but still in the parish of
Montrose. I am not sure when it was founded, but I wonder whether perhaps
the hospital was built around an earlier house named Sunnyside House?
