Royal Navy Records are with the Public Record Office at Kew (
www.pro.gov.uk ). I had a researcher look up one of my family who was a
Lieutenant in the RN around the same period, and managed to get a decent
breakdown of his career and ships. However I was warned that this is not
always the result.
