Hello everyone more help needed:

I have Ann M Ettinger born in 1864 Hill End (Gold fields) parents Phillip
and Elizabeth Ettinger. I can not find any marriage or death of Ann M.

Can anyone help me?

(We also have Hannah(Annie)Ettinger born born in 26 February 1867 married to
Martin Ruppel in 1884. I didn't know who Hannah was till I got confirmation
of her birth date from the Ruppels in America.)

I found some interesting information on Phillip Ettinger who spent 10 years
at Hill End, "Luck was not on his side. Disappointed, he sold his mining
claim to a fellow German, Bernard Holtermann, who struck it rich a few days
later". Interview with Ursula Ettinger/Dixon (Fairfield City Library. Local
History Collection.) The name did not ring a bell with me till I found the
book "The Hill End Story". Bernhard Holtermann found, "The largest specimen
of reef gold ever discovered (approx. 250 Kilos gross) was unearthed at Hill
End, NSW.--A routine detonation revealed the reef which was brought to the
surface intact, carried bout by twelve miners. Dubbed the "Holtermann
Nugget".

Isn't it wonderful when you find such interesting information about your
family, even though he didn't find the nugget. Oh! if he had only hung out
for another week.
