I am a new subscriber to the list and am looking for the marriage of my
uncle FEARGUS GINNEVER and "Mabs". This occurred just prior to WWII. I
believe. He was a purser on the Matson Lines passenger ships and just
stayed in Sydney to drive a taxicab. He stayed on there, married Mabs
and died April 11, 1956 in Sydney. I know they lived at Bondi Beach as
we have letters from them, but we have never known "Mabs" correct name.
Ferg (known as Gene in Australia) was born 28 Dec 1889 in Philadelphia,
Pennyslvania. I fvaguely remember my father saying that Ferg ended up
owning a taxicab company in Sydney, but am not sure about that.
I would appreciate any information on this uncle, particularly his
marriage, I would also like to know where I can obtain a certificate of
his marriage and death. Many thanks. Carol in Denver, Colorado
