I have been trying to trace my "step grandfather"for sometime now but have had no success.His name is WALTER NICHOLSON & he was supposed to have been born at Tamworth,NSW,& the dates are probably between 1884/1888.His fathers name was also Walter Nicholson but I have no info on his mother.He went to the BOER war in the 1stnswctgt & enlisted in the WW1 &saw action in Europe.He married my grandmother in 1917 in england & they came to Australia in 1920.I am after a Birth Cert. for Walter so that I can trace that part of my family history.Any suggestions OR help would be greatly appreciated............AL
