Subject: Introducing + STEVENS interests

Hello all,

I posted my STEVENS family interests some days back, but (on invite)
decided to introduce myself better. I was born Lynda STEVENS in '45 at
Dorrigo NSW, my dad Frederick being in his 60's then (If he was alive now
he'd be 118 !) Dad'd been married? several times before it seems. Mum was a
CONNELLY (married 1941). Dad's other wives might have included DEVEREUX and
WILSON but I haven't got the certificates yet.

Family history got complicated because I thought (from many 'yarns') that
dads folks came from Ireland. I now know they came from England, but
there's a lot more to find out. In particular I'd like to contact some
living family of dad's sisters and brothers.

So if you know a Stevens, can you ask them if they're descended from a
Frederick and Lucy Stevens who came to Australia (Victoria) in 1879? Help
from any and all is much appreciated.

BTW, I'm now retired as is hubby. The death of my 57yo brother Fred in
April from heart problems has prompted me to re-energize my family history
searches.
