Have managed to get hold of a book called "Settlers on the Marthaguy" by
Marion Dormer and Joan Starr. The christian name of the man FLOOD was
Edward. Edward Snr. was a self made man, a carpenter who became Lord Mayor
of Sydney in 1848 and Member of the Legislative Council in 1851. There is
more if you are interested.
