As part of the Federation celebrations there is a week of interesting
activities in Inverell NSW end of April beginning May. This includes an
exhibition of a large number of original Tom Roberts paintings many painted
in the Inverell area at the turn of the century.

Many members of the families that worked in the Inverell district then went
into Qld and the west of NSW and often had forbears in the hunter valley or
had worked there prior to going 'up country'.
