Hmmmm, the earliest ancestor I have is:
(5X GGF) Antonio Furtado Pereira, b. abt. 1730 who married Antonia de Jesus,
from Castelo Branco, Faial, Azores. Marriage records for CB that are on LDS
film start in 1711, and for Feteira, Faial in 1720. I have not found their
marriage record yet, so do not have his parents.

What are the references available for this surname on Faial from the early
1500s, as quoted by Doug, to the early 1700s, if any?
