Hi Beni,
I will check my other records, but for now, I have two people named "Manoel
Machado Linhares" in my genealogy program. They are both from Doze
Ribeiras, Terceira. One was born in 1790 and is the son of the other one.
Maybe your line is a desendant of this one.
I estimate that your line (your cousin's line, that is) would have married
in the last few years available on microfilm, which for Doze Ribeiras and
most of the parishes nearby, was in 1873. So I will later check for them.
If we have bad luck, they married in 1874 or more recently. Then you will
have to wait for more accurate data to come your way or contact me in a
year or so and I will have completed my database on the more recent
marriages of those parishes (up to 1911).
By the way, the above two Manoel Machado Linhares people are my distant
cousins.
