I have no idea if the book, Evolucao Demografica de
Tres Paroquias do Sul do Pico 1680-1980, is still available, but I bought
it from the author in 1996 by sending her a personal check for $30 to:

available! If you have ancestors from the three villages, it is priceless!
Also....a comment on the name Vagas.....could it be a
corruption/Americanization? of the name Vargas??

Tres Paroquias do Sul do Pico 1680-1980._ Complete records of baptism,
marriages and deaths for churches of Sao Joao, Sao Mateus and Sao Caetano, a
later parish not on film. Many on the list I know have this book.
