Matamsa, matansa = matança = butchery, slaughter, killing, carnage,
slaughtering of cattle.
Basheegas = bexigas (x = sh) = bladders

We also made the turishmas (?). My mother made a homemade mustard that we
ate with them. I didn't
realize that the
"butchering" day had a name..Matamsa. This may sound kind of strange but
we used to make "basheegas" (spelling ?)..which were baloons from the
pigs bladders. I was young then and that was the only baloon I ever knew
for years
