I thought maybe the $27 was in error for this form. After checking on
www.ancestry.com on the SSDI database; it did say $27. :-( I am in
shock!! I didn't know they increased the fee at all. It was only in
Jan. 2001, I sent for a copy of my father's SS-5 Form and it was only
$7.00. That's a whopping increase from Jan. to July. I guess they've
figured out a way to supplement our Social Security system.
