Good Afternoon Kristie,
I see that as of the moment no one else has responded to your question
about FAH, so I'm going to jump right in. FLEMISH AMERICAN HERITAGE
magazine is published twice each year-Feb & Aug- by the Genealogical
Society of Flemish Americans (GSFA) located in Roseville, Michigan. You
must be a member of GSFA to receive the magazine. Dues are $15.00 per yr.
per family. Spring and Winter newsletters are also included. FAH & the
newsletters are printed in English. Subscriptions commence with the Feb.
issue and subscribers receive back issues for the year no matter when they
join.
You may send your membership fee to:
GSFA
18740 Thirteen Mile Rd.
Roseville, Mi. 48066
Att: Margaret Roets
GSFA has a marvelous library containing hundreds of books on the history of
various towns, b.m.d records of select cities and towns, orphans court
records, individual family histories, parish records from Our Lady Of
Sorrows (the Belgian Church in Detroit) and thousands of death memorial
cards, just to name a few items. For the most part all the materials at
GSFA cover West Flanders, but data from East Flanders is growing.
Regards,
Peg Coucke
