The following data was kindly transcribed by Bob Mee on the Derby list at great personal effort. I have emailed a special thankyou to Bob.

The overall title of the film was "Marriages in Dale Abbey 1667-1813"
BUT at the end of that film there were also other parish films which were not listed on the main Dale Abbey film, they were a complete surprise.These were;-
Marriages in Ockbrook 1631-1812
Marriages in Boulton 1756-1812
Marriages Heath (alias lownd or Lund) 1682-1812
Marriages in Stanton by Dale 1670-1812
Marriages in Sawley 1754-1810
Marriages in Breaston 1719-1810
Marriages in Sandiacre 1581-1812
Marriages in Risley 1720-1812

"They were NOT Bishops Transcripts they had been collated by the local clergy from the B.T's and they were all nicely typed and very very easy to read. Each parish had a forwarding note and it said that thye weree transcribed from that parish by the Rev ????? with the permission of the bishop of that parish. Then it went on to say the size of the original registers and number of them and what condition they were in. One had been eaten by mice and the clergy could read all the man's names but not the women names, so they just listed all the men and the date they got married but you don't know who to!!..

"...Hault Hucknall are parish areas and I think from memory close to Ilkeston... Not sure where Heath was.
"...The last column were notes, and usually the wedding took place in the woman's church of that parish. So in the end column if I said that William was from Clown, he was from that parish, not the one they got married in.
"...The word Lic after the parish indicates that the couple had to obtain a licence to get wed. A copy of this licence is available from the Lichfield Records Office, I assume a small fee is involved... "
