[Chris, my personal feeling is that the most useful way to present the data
is an excel spreadsheet. If a separate column is used for each field such as
address, christian name, year of birth, occupation, comments... the data can
then be sorted however the researcher sees fit... The only problem with that
is if a researcher doesn't have excel to be able to use it. But I think that
can be easily overcome, because it is easy to convert an excel document into
something else such as a word document or text file if required later. We
can easily cut/paste it if someone wants small amounts of info posted to the
list, or email as attachment to individuals wanting the whole amount. I have
little personal experience at transcribing, what does everyone else think?

[Chris, I'm sorry I misled you about the quantity of Brailsfords... I
thought I did a search of Brailsfords and came up with about 370??? (I
couldn't remember the exact amount, so said over 300). In hindsight, I may
have limited the search to Derby only. If this is too much for you, please
feel free to limit to certain counties. I know that most people are
interested in Derby at the moment, so that would be a great place to start.
Perhaps we could split the workload? Is there any way you can extract chunks
from your CD and zip them to email to me to transcribe? Otherwise I can get
printouts from my local LDS family centre to type up, but that wouldn't be
as convenient. I have cut and paste some info from the web about a couple of
areas... Wirksworth and Brampton mostly. I'll email that to you off list,
Chris. Does anyone else have any comments or suggestions? [Kerrie]]

[Please feel free to email your ideas or queries on or off list everyone.
Thanks for all of your support Chris.
