Firstly, greetings to all fellow Brailsford-hunters, especially if our paths
have crossed before...
My name is Elli Kliffen, and my Brailsford interest lies in my husband's
family - his great-grandfather, Joseph Brailsford, son of Charles, was
living in Liverpool when he married in 1897. Further back than that, not a
trace (neither father nor son appear on the 1881 census, as Brailsfords
anyway...).
In my searches, I trawled through the surname indexes for the 1891 census
for Sutton-in-Ashfield (where the family later settled), part of Mansfield
and Skegby (films RG12/2649 - 2653 inclusive). I shall post what I found to
this list shortly, and hope it may be of help / interest to someone...
Best wishes
Elli
