Hello Everyone,

For quite some time I have been on the AZORES-L and PORTUGAL-L list and now, it seems my research is sending me into Brazil.

I have asked about ordering documents from parishes and wondered about Brazil. It seems I am have difficulty getting records on my family from Brazil. Today, I have received a letter stating (if I translated it correctly) "they will have to be found in the religious parishes of the City where the person lived."

I am interested in Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. A marriage document I have states they were from São Sebastião, however I have been told that parish is not familiar in Brazil.

Could someone please help me?
