Jackie, we might have a match here. My 1860 census page #124 Butler Co. AL
(P. O. Sal Soda?) list a S. CAMPBELL age 43 b. GA and wife M. CAMPBELL age
40. This could be Seaborn and Matilda that you listed. Living next to them
are my W. (William) CAMPBELL age 72 b. SC and P. (Penelope) CAMPBELL age 71 b.
GA. Living next to them are a T. D. CAMPBELL and M. A. CAMPBELL. S and M.
CAMPBELL and T. D. and M. A. CAMPBELL could be the children of William and
Penelope. Living next to T. D. CAMPBELL lived T. (Thomas) TAYLOR and M. (Mary
Campbell) TAYLOR. I know Mary Taylor is the daughter of William and Penelope.
And one of their children is John Seaborn Taylor.
In the 1850 Lowndes Co. AL census I have Thomas and Mary TAYLOR living next to
William and Prudence (Penelope) CAMPBELL. The last entry on the page is T. D.
CAMPBELL and then it continues to next page which I don't have.
Still no name just initials. I have nothing in the 1870 census on either
family.
Keep in touch, maybe we can figure this out. Thanks for replying. Nancy
