Greetings from New Zealand

Robert CAMPBELL was my GGrandfather. He married in Auckland New Zealand
in May 1875 to Kate DOWLING nee CORBETT.
He had 4 known children. 1st born John CAMPBELL. 2nd born Kate Jane.
3rd born Amy Elizabeth. 4th born Mary Gertrude Janet.
His occupation was Ships Steward. His wife died in 1885 in Auckland.
The children were raised by her parents the CORBETTS.
Robert then disappears. No trace in New Zealand or Australian Deaths.
No information on Wedding or other certificates. I have checked the
Original wedding Cert [Roman Catholic] His birth date from age given
is 1853/1854 at Glasgow Scotland.

Following the Scottish naming of children, his father could be John,
and his mother Kate or Jane [Kate is the wifes mothers name].

The I.G.I. has a Robert CAMPBELL born 21 Apr 1853 at East Kilbride
Glasgow. Father John. Mother Jean/Janet RIDDELL/RANDALL.
No other entries are close to 1853/54. The date coincides with other age
entries of my Robert CAMPBELL.

Emigration from Londonderry IRE / wedding/birth certs.

NAME: Robert CAMPBELL.
DATES: Birth 1853/1854. Place: Glasgow for birth.
Londonderry IRE for emigration 1874.
Occcupation: Possible Ships Steward.

Sorry if I have rambled on a bit but the background may help.
By the way my second name is Campbell.
