I dont have information about the Bowers/Clark but am looking for info on the Kipps. When I saw your note, I was really excited because our grandfather Kipps' were brothers!
Your Grandfather, Homer Kipps and my grandfather Franklin, also know as "Jack" were brothers. Granddaddy died in 1936 and I never knew him. My Grandmother barely spoke of him. She was very heart broken when he passed away and was never able to speak of him afterwards without breaking down so she just didn't speak of him. Jack married my Grandmother, Dora Kagey around 1916 I think. My Dad was their oldest son born in 1917, they had a son in 1918 and one in 1920. The only one left is my Uncle Charles, the youngest and he has never said much about Granddaddy either. I was 8 when my father died in 1972 and just remember bits and pieces of little stories that he told me about Granddaddy. Did you know your Grandfather and if so, did he speak of his family. I know that their father was George W. Kipps and their grandfather was Nicholas. I have been trying to find out the names of all of Nicholas' children. For that matter I am not sure I have all of the names our grandfat!

I know there was an "Ada", Carrie, Diasy, Minnie and Homer but I don't know if there were more and I never met any of these people. I never knew anything about them. I just feel sort of lost like the Kipps side of my family is just one big mystery because there are no "personal" stories that have been shared with the family. I have two first cousins and that is it. You are the first person that I have found besides Ada's great granddaughter, Tina Kipps Roberts that I can tie a direct link to. There are a few Kipps in New Market, Woodstock,
Front Royal and TImberville but I am not real sure of the link.
Some of them are so distant that we have to go all the way back to Jacob to have a direct link. It seems that most of these Kipps decended from brothers or sisters of great great grandparents.
At any rate, if you have any info on the Kipps' family I would love to know anything you know. I have no idea how many children your grandparents had or anything like that. I just know that our Fathers were first cousins and we are second cousins. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
