I have a Gideon b. 1769 in Westerley,Washington Co.,RI s/o William CLARKE and Ruth PECKHAM who were Loyalists in the AMerican Revolution and came to New Brunswick, Canada in 1783. Gideon may have died young as I have found no trace of him in NB, but his brother William lived in Saint John,NB in 1804 when his father died. All this is based on the Ancestral file on the IGI site so it's not proven by any means, but maybe your Gideon and WIlliam are descendants of these two.
