Hi All!

I don't have a lot of Coats information, but I would love to learn more.

Isaac Coats - born South Carolina, died before 1850.
Wife - Mary - born either ca. 1791 or 1802 in South Carolina, died after 1850
Tuscaloosa County, AL
They moved to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama before 1833. Mary was a charter
member of Grant's Creek Baptist Church in Tusc. Co., Al 1832.They had two
children.
1) Richard D. Newton Coats - born 1833 in Tusc. Co., AL
Married Catherine after 1860.
Two daughters -
a. Virginia - born 1867
b. Cornelia - born 1868 - all in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama
2) Martha Eliza Jane Hannah Sophia Coats - born 05 Sept 1834, died 05 July
1880 Tuscaloosa County, Alabama
married John Harrison Jennings, a farmer, 22 July 1852 in Tusc. Co.,
AL.
They had five children.
a. Sarah M. Sally Jennings - born 05 Nov 1854, died 16 Sept 1921 Tusc.
Co., AL.
b. Mary E. Jennings - born 26 Feb 1855, died Dec 1873 Tusc. Co., AL.
c. George W. Jennings - born 1858, died 07 Dec 1900, married 28 Feb
1883 Tusc. Co., AL.
wife - Sarah Ann Leavell/Leavelle - two daughters Margret
Jennings Burns, & Minnie J. Jennings Burns.
d. Annie Jennings - born 1861, married Henry M. Leavell Tusc. Co., AL.

e. John Newton Harrison Jennings - born 05 Jan 1863, died 24 June
1916, married 21 Oct 1883 in Tusc. Co., AL.
wife C. Gracie Belle Neaves. They had four children.
I have more info on this line up to the present.
