I need your assistance, please. It is possible that I have been tracing
the wrong ancestral lines for Mary Elizabeth Coats, b. abt 1860,
possibly in Nacogdoches, TX, d. 20 Mar 1920, Nacogdoches, TX, buried in
Walnut Grove Cem., Garrison, Nacogdoches Co., TX. She was married to
John Peterson, b. abt 1860, possibly in Texas. They were the parents of
my great grandmother Jo Anna Peterson, b. 20 Mar 1884, Nacogdoches, TX,
d. 27 Feb 1958 in Macogdoches Co., TX.
Mary Elizabeth Coats had also been married to Thomas Boatman, parents
of: Molly, Emmit, Foy, and Jess Boatman.
I had information that her father was Daniel Franklin Coats, b. 11 Sep
1832, d. 25 Jun 1881, and the mother was Harriet Burrows. However, I
have since been told that this is incorrect.
Please help clear up this matter, and accept my gratitude in advance.
