It's been a few years since I worked on my COULTER family history, so I
thought I'd post the information again to see if there were more cousins
out there. I have a bit more information than is shown here on some of the
side branches, such as the KIRKPATRICK family, but in most cases this is
all I know. Also, my Great Grandfather's 1945 account of the COULTER
family history mentions the EWING family tree being in the hands of Mrs.
(Rev.) Walter Ewing of Pittsburg, PA, but we've lost the connection to this
part of the family. If you see a possible connection, I would be happy to
share what I know.

Alexander COULTER, b. ca. 1775, Ireland, married Phebe (maiden name unknown
- maybe GALBREATH?), b.1776. Alexander and Phebe are buried in Argyle,
New York. Family rumor says Alexander was possibly from County Donegal,
Ireland and came to America on a ship named The Eagle. New York land
records place his arrival around 1794 and indicate a possbile connection to
the Cambridge, NY COULTER family. The family was Presbyterian and remained
so until the late 1800s when they became Methodist. Alexander and Phebe's
children were all born in Argyle, NY and were:

are buried in Pleasanton, Kansas. Their children were:
