I am also looking for Alexander Coulter from Virginia.
He is listed in the 1782 census in Richmond VA age 22
a saddler. I am trying to find out if he is the father
of Joseph P. Coulter born in VA in 1806. His mother's name
was Jane, she is living with Joseph in 1850 in Allegheny Co.
PA and she is 76 years old. I found a marriage of Alexander Coulter and
Jane McCoon in 1797 in Baltimore MD. Could this be the same Alexander?
Could he have married a second time?
Any help would be appreciated,
