Sheila, during what time frame and in what area are you looking at? My
husband's Pugh and Kronk/Cronk ancestors came in through Philadelphia about
1700-1752. However, his Coulter ancestors seem to have entered through
Virginia and worked their way up the coast of Maryland and Delaware before
1719 and into PA, MD, and VA later. His Doty ancestor arrived on the
Mayflower. Between 1855 and 1890, immigrants entered through Castle Gardens,
off the coast of New York, in addition to many other ports of entry.
