Hi Amanda:
I too am searching COULTER in Counties Antrim and County Down. I think that
you are one generation back from where I have gotten. My earliest COULTER
is John who married Martha BELL in Carnmoney in 1817. Their children were
Hugh, Hugh, Joseph, Elizabeth, Nancy Peggy, Francis Bell, Mary and Martha.
I have been unable to find info about John COULTER's parents.
I also have a HASLETT connection. Margaret HASLETT(b 1847) married William
SLOANE. Their daughter Agnes (b 1882) married my grandfather Joseph COULTER
(b1878) All in or near Belfast.
Would love to hear more about your COULTER family.
Barbara

The Coulters I am interested in are these:
(1) John Coulter, who died aged 81 26th May 1877. "He was for 57 years
faithful and devoted Minister of Gilnahirk Presbyterian Church", according
to his tombstone in Gilnahirk Pres. Graveyard. His wife was Isabella Gordon,
who died 26th Feb. 1858 aged 68.
(2) Margaret Coulter, probably his daughter, died 5th Dec. 1914, aged 79,
who married Samuel Haslett.
(3) Eliza Jane Coulter, probably his daugher also, who died 9th March 1894
aged 59, and who married William Warwick MD.
All of these people are buried in Gilnahirk Pres. Graveyard.
