I'm not sure if I'm related to your branch, but if your Coulters are from Mississippi, there is a great likelihood that we are, especially if your Coulters are from the Covington County area. I'm also trying to trace the Coulter line, and I've gotten back as far as the Revolutionary War. But, only directly. I'm not sure of other branches other than mine. But, we can work on that. I knew nothing of my Crumby family until about a month ago, and its because a distant relative of mine happened to see my post on here and thought there may be a connection. There was, and now I've been able to trace the family back to the 1400s! You just never know.

But my Coulter line is like this:

Casey Allison Crumby
Janet Lynn Sherman & William Russell Crumby
James Robert Sherman & Samantha Lynn Davis
William Ervin Davis & Olive Linda Coulter
Coulter? & ?
(the above link is still unclear to me, I'm still verifying who her her parents were)
Andrew Jackson Coulter & Tabitha Young
Mary Leggett & John Coulter

I'll post the rest of what I have when I have access to my family tree on my computer at home. Lert me know if any of the above names ring a bell. Apparently a lot of people are researching their line off of the the Andrew Jakcson Coulter/John Coulter branch. I got a lot of my information from Gerald Coulter, who has done a lot of extensive research on the family. I suggest checking out websites done by him, or trying to get a copy of one of his books he's published on the family. You just might find your family in there.
