Hello, This is probably a long shot but here's what I have on my
husband's ggrandfather, Andrew Joseph Coulter. 1827-1905. (Everyone
thought he was born in County Cork, Ireland. When I became interested
in genealogy I scraped the gunk off of his tombstone and saw "COUNTY
FERMANAGH". I have not been able to locate him there altho I have not
really tried too hard as I am working on the German lines right now.)
He and his brother, James (1812-1900) emigrated to Philadephia, PA circa
1848. Andrew married Elisabeth Hamil in Philadelphia supposedly she was
of wealthy socialite parents. (Family myth!!!!) They moved to
Belleville, Illinois. She died 1860. He remarried in St. Louis, MO.
1862 I have no idea where West Caln is in relationship to
Philadeliphia. If you are interested in researching Fermanagh I was on
some very good lists and I would be happy to give them to you.

On 1870 Census he is living in said township with his wife Susan and The following Children: John Age 15(my direct line),William age 12, Sarah age 11, Benjamin age 8, Martha age 5, Charles age 2. The census list his birth as Pa but his parents are listed as being born in Ireland
