Hi Janet, Martin Kolter came from Germany and landed in Pa. in 1750. He
married Catherine Rosanna Boone abt. 1758 (cousin of Daniel; son of Squire)
daughter of Joseph Boone. The 1st record of Martin in NC is found in a land Grant
from King George III dated 1765. I am trying to either find a connection to
this family or to disprove a connection to John Colter of the Lewis and Clark
fame. Thank for any info and I hope we can find a descendent willing to be
DNA tested. Looking forward to hearing from you. Anne
