Hello Again Everyone,
As I re-read my post about Christian Friedrich Wilhelm KOEHLER, I realized that I had made a typo. He was born in 1837 - - not 1867. After years of searching, we have found that he emigrated, in 1863, from the Melzow / Klinkow area of Brandenburg, Prussia. From his marriage information, we know his parents' names, but we've yet to locate his siblings. His parents: Christian KOEHLER and Maria BRAND. His wife: Christiane Sophia Dorothea NEUMANN (NIEMANN). Christian and "Sophia" married in Wolcottsville, Niagara County, NY, after Christian's service as a Pvt. in Co. A, US 10th Infantry (1865-1868). Christian and Sophia migrated to Macon County, Missouri, where they spent the rest of their lives. He died in 1906; she, in 1918. They are buried in the town of Macon.
I have, thanks to the diligence of my 85 year old sister-in-law, much to share concerning the descendants of Christian and Sophia. If you connect to this family, let me know.
Keep smiling,
Leslie
