I am looking for information on my greatgrandfather James Coulter. All I have is he was born 1908 and married Bertha Mae Gwin they had two children James Edison Coulter he died in 1948 at the age of abt:20 and then Roy Franklin Coulter born 1929 and died Feb 1988. James Coulter and Bertha Gwin divorced and James remarried somone by the name of Bessie and he died in 1959. They are all from Kentucky. Not sure if James Coulter was born in Kentucky but the rest were. My mother said that either James father came over from Germany or his grandfather did.

I have bought a subscription to ancestry.com just to find any information on him and have had no luck. I have found him in the 1930 census married to Bertha Gwin in Jefferson County Kentucky.

Any information would be helpful.
