>From my family genealogy:
Winnebago, Minnesota (obit) SUFFERS STROKE, DIES SUDDENLY Mrs. Releaf Stauffer, 69, died suddenly at her home Tuesday morning about nine o'clock following a stroke. She had spent a happy Christmas day the day before at her home with her son's family, the Richard Stauffers, other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian church, with the Rev. C. W. Gilman of the Methodist church officiating. Music will be furnished by Kermit Chafee and Harold Golly, with Dorothy Smith at the piano. Interment will be in Rice Lake cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be William Leach, Reuben Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Howard Jenkins, Paul Nagel and Ralph Lux. Alternates are Russell Garlick and Donald Gray. Spencer and Armstrong are in charge of arrangements. Releaf Lilian Stauffer was born December 30, 1880, to Mr. and Mrs. James Coulter in Prescott township where she lived all but four years of her entire life. On M!
arch 29, 1899, she was married to Newton Stauffer who preceded her in death. To this union were born two children, Hazel (Mrs. Ira Parks) of Hartford, Ark., and Richard of Winnebago, both of whom survive their mother. Besides her two children, she leaves a sister, Miranda Hazelton of Edgeley, N. D., a brother, W. R. Coulter of Goldfield, IA., seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stauffer was a member of the Presbyterian church in Winnebago all of her life and a member of the Rebekah lodge for more than 45 years. She will be greatly missed as a mother, grandmother and friend.
