Dear Joan!

I assume, you mean ZAMBERK and not ZUMBERK. Zamberk and Nekor are villages
(and parishes) close together, northeast Bohemia.
Zamberk was the former Senftenberg.

Records of Nekor begin in 1705. Records of Zamberk begin in 1657. Records
are in the archives of ZAMRSK.
You can find the address of the archives on my site.
If you need professional help, please, let me know.

Betreff:[CZ] Re: Where is Zumberg?

Hi, My grandmother was reportedly from Zumberg,Bohemia. She worked as a maid
and went over to the Polish Border everyday to work in a castle there. I
therefore assume that Poland was close. Her husband, ( my grandfather) was
from Nekor which is close to Zumberg I think. I can't seem to find Zumberg
on
the map. I see references to Zamberk and also saw the "old" map of Austria
and there was a town called Rumberg. So my question is this:
Where is Zumberg?
Is it Zamberk and Zumberk and Zumberg and Rumberg the same town??
thanks..Joan
