Hello: I sent the following to the LIST several days ago and it has not
appeared.
I wonder what I did wrong. Please Advise.

Dear List:

I am new to the list and find it very interesting.

I am researching several names, some of which are rare in the Czech
Republic, as well as the United States. They are: PONEC, KRYTINAR, NOVTONY,
SATORIE, NEMEC, VAVRA, STARY, HUDECEK, BARCAL, RUZICKA , Luinert or Linard.
All of these people settled in and around the Omaha, Nebraska area.
I have been told RUDOLPH PONEC came from the village of SMECNO which
is northwest of Prague. Parents VINCENZ PONEC and ANNA LUINERT or
Linard. He was born in l859. I have a studio picture of him taken in
Chicago in l885.
There is also a picture of him taken in North Platte, Nebraska, sometime prior
to l89l. I have a picture of a tombstone for an ANTONIN PONEC, who died at
age 29,
July l6, l894. It is engraved on the tombstone that he was a teacher in the
town of DRZKOVE (which is northeast of Prague). The photograph was taken
by a photographer in Vinodhrady...so I assume he is buried there.
There is a Richard Ponec listed in the muster rolls for the American
Revolutionary
War ...no indication of what state...and a l9l0 Pennsylvania Census Record for
a TONEY PONEC in Fayfette County, PA.
There is also supposed to be a book written by a man named Prasek who was
married to a PONEC. He was trying to attain title for his wife from Spain.
It seems that some Spanish aristrocats emmigrated from Spain to Bohemia
in the l4 and l5 Century. This book was written prior to l9l8. I have also
been
told of a connection to Spain, but in this version, the Spanards were members
of Napoleon' s Army and they remained behind in Bohemia after Napoleon was
defeated in Russia. I have found a reference to a Juan Ponec on the FHC
site..
in Mexico in the l600's...I believe. It was a record of a marriage.
The SATORIES came from PODMOKY, but have little information on them.
I have minimal information on the Krytinar surname and the others listed.
Any assistance with passenger lists or tips on finding these ancestors will
be appreciated. Is there a net listing of the burials in Vinohrady or perhaps
an
address to write to.
KRYTINAR, Karoline, and children, Joseph, Josephine, Antonia, Frances
NOVOTNY, Joseph (child) , Mary Agnes (child) destination Plattsmouth, NE
VAVRA, Joseph and ANNA (BARCAL), daughter Kate or Katherine
NEMEC, Joseph (young adult), Parents Matej and Josephine; other sibilings,
John, Anton, Barbara, Frank, Alloisi , Peter, Josefa
HUDECEK, Jacob (Father) I know when he came; son Dominic (I know when he
