Hello,
I am interested to see the Stach surname show up. My paternal grandmother was a Mary
Stach born Nov 20, 1892 in Vlkovice #27. Her grandfather was a Martin Stach. (Father
Antonin). She died in her 30's in Chicago, so I don't know much, just what I got from
the Cz Archives. I understand that she came to this country with her sister Katherine
(married to Haruch). So far I have not found any info on port of entry or anything.
Since I know that women had to travel with a male relative or be going to relatives
here before they would be let in by the immigration people, perhaps there is some tie
in to your Stach people.

My Martin Stach married a Katherine Prohaska from Vlcnov #16, and his father was Tomas
Stach from Horni Stankov #1. At this time I have no birth date or marriage information
for them, except that Tomas Stach was married to a Klara Sousek from Kuciny #8.

Mary and Katherine had siblings, believed to have remained in CZ named Frantiska,
Josefa, Josef, Antonin and Huba (may be nickname).

Wondering if your Martin Stach was a cousin somehow of my Antonin Stach. Also Antonin
was said to be a stonemason, while the others had to do with farming.
