Elaine,
Noted your exchange with Terri in Seattle re Bohemian emigration in the
1860's.
Leo Bacca in response to my query about the emigration of my gt gd
parents in 1866 a number of years
suggested that I search Canadian arrivals. Reason he said that was in
part because he couldn't find them coming through a US port. The
information that it might be cheaper through Canada is interesting and
intriguing. In your note to Terri you mentioned some information that
you received/sent. Is it possible for you to share that with me, also.
Re. St. Alban's lists (and I haven't had time to check this): do they go
back as far as the mid 1860's? My impression is they don't. Any
thoughts? I will do some checking on this myself later today.
Thanks for the help and the continued good work you do to help all of out
here in cyber land.
Kurt in Kalamazoo
