Dear Don,
I looked up the map of the Czech Republic and got these results:
Polom: 6 times (districts Prerov, Zdar nad Sazavou, Karlovy Vary, Chrudim,
twice Rychnov nad Kneznou - first two in Moravia, the rest in Bohemia)
Blazlon: not found, doesn't seem to be a Czech word, but it can be a
misreading (the handwritten letters are similar) of Blazkov, which is 3
times in the Czech Republic (districts Zdar nad Sazavou, Cesky Krumlov,
Nachod - first one in Moravia, the rest in Bohemia)
Trefsny: not found, this is probably a lot misspelled, especially letter F
looks like to be misread - I found only Trebsin (Benesov, Bohemia), but
maybe I have not found the right one during the bad misspelling
Rosoch: not found, maybe a misspelling of Rososne (Kromeriz, Moravia) - note
that there is a village of Polomsko close north of this village
You should know that the Czech Republic is composed from three historical
areas: Bohemia, Moravia and the south part of Silesia. The word Bohemia is
often being inaccurately used to name the whole country, so you can't
determine when one speaks about Bohemia whether he thinks only of Bohemia or
of whole Czech Republic. But if you have information saying that your
ancestors were from Moravia, I would believe in this.
Best wishes,
Marek from Czech Republic (Moravia :o)
