Hi Linda:

>(Joseph Senior -head) family in Devonport.

You perhaps did not see the message I sent to someone else a few days ago
about such a reuest, quoting the relevant section of the Devon FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions) File - see below (and
http://www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/DevonFAQ.html)
Devonport is a very large place - you'd stand much more chance of finding
the information you are seeking, or have having someone do it for you, if
you could provide some indication of the address in Devonport. For example,
were they in Devonport in 1881? That might provide an address that was also
theirs 10 years earlier - plenty of people are likely to be willing to do a
lookup of the 1881 census index for you, and I would hope check a
particular address in the 1871 census index, if you can't get to a LDS
Family History Center to do it for yourself.
Hope this helps

8. Could some SKS look up the <?????> census for me?
The 1851 and 1881 census records have been fully indexed - and are
available very cheaply on CD-ROM from the LDS. With few exceptions (noted
on the relevant GENUKI/Devon parish pages), other years have not been
indexed, so it is only appropriate to make a request relating to one of the
other census years if you can provide a fairly exact address. ("SKS", by
the way, is a fairly common abbreviation for "Some Kind Soul.")
