Subject: Mumchurch or Marhamchurch?

On the 1841 and 1851 census of Buckland Monachorum I have found William
Petherick with wife Jane. The 1841 states William was not born in the
county, the 1851 states he was born at Mumchurch, Devon. I can find no
such place - the closest in name is Marhamchurch, Cornwall.

Can someone tell me if there is indeed a Mumchurch in Devon, and if not
would I be leaping to a huge conclusion that it was Marhamchurch instead?

I am assuming William and Jane have both died before the 1861 as I
cannot locate them on that census.
