I have just returned from Dorset where I have been involved with finding
connections to BRITTAN: William Guise & Joseph (brother), and the
CHANDLER sisters: Sophia, Louisa & Elizabeth Mary. However, the net
has had to be widened and now involves relationships to John Harris
Wicks of (according to the tombstone of his wife Harriet (nee Dolby)
of Englefield Green, and the Dolby sisters, Harriet and Elizabeth. It
would appear they the Wicks and the Dolbys came from around Sunninghill
and Englefield Green. Is there anyone out there in e.masil land who has
come across these names? Wicks might be buried in the Sunninghill
Church of St Michael and All Angels sometime prior to 1846. However,
the "Englefield Green" has some kind of linkage that must be followed
up. It is possible that the Wicks and the Brittans have been inmvolved
in the cricket scene at Englefield Green. Any help would be gratefully
received
