Your Peter Cox and my earliest Poole Crooke folks look similar. My John Crook
of Southampton owned ships going to Newfoundland. Where did you find your Cox
data for Newfoundland?
A few days ago I posted the surname Pitt from Dorcherster. Robert Pitt was a
ship captain in the 1660's, transporting some of my suspected kin, Deveraux
and Tabitha Browne to Accomack Co. VA.
This may apply to a number of Poole area emigrants.
